Built as a "summer home" for Virginia millionaire and philanthropist James H. Dooley for his wife Sallie May, the Swannanoa Palace was constructed over the span of eight years and required over 300 artisans to fully complete. Despite it's lavish details and opulent interior, it was occupied only for a few years following it's completion in 1912 and has fallen into a slight state of beautiful disrepair.

Come join us on April 10th to experience the amazing stories and the fascinating history behind this long forgotten Virginia landmark. Additionally, you will have 2 hours to photograph most of the interior of the palace and the immediate surrounding grounds.
