AUGUST 22nd, 2020

Come join us at the iconic locale of the Presidents Heads for the 1st Annual "Day of Virginia's Abandoned and Forgotten". We plan to come together to celebrate the memory of Virginia's numerous forlorn or demolished landmarks, all of which deserve to be commemorated through beautiful art and powerful stories. Guests will not only have the opportunity to witness the internationally renowned and derelict Presidents Heads up close and personal, but will be surrounded by captivating images of dozens of Virginia's most beautifully abandoned houses, churches, schools, asylums, diners and other structures, all of which were captured by Virginia's premiere "abandoned" photographers while frozen on the continuum of time. In addition to John Plashal, author of the popular coffee table book, "A Beautifully Broken Virginia", storytelling about what occurred within the walls of his abandoned discoveries throughout the day, our afternoon guests can hear those stories FIRSTHAND from inhabitants that once occupied these long abandoned and forgotten places. Presidential trivia with PRIZES will be held during all three sessions and merchandise such as prints, puzzles and books will also be available for sale.

What ages encompass a CHILD TICKET? Ages 8-17 require a CHILD TICKET. Ages 7 and under are free.

What is the refund policy? Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled due to inclement weather such as sustained rain or frequent thunderstorms, in which case full refunds will be issued. The rain date will be on Saturday, August 29th.

Are there bathrooms on the property? Yes. There are 2 Porta Potties for use.

Are dogs allowed? Yes. Canines are our best guests. Having your dog on a leash is required. Please make sure to carry a bag to clean up after your dog.

Why is the morning session less expensive than the afternoon or evening session? For two reasons: The FIRSTHAND Storytelling only takes place in the afternoon and, should the day be sunny, the Heads are backlit in the AM, making photographing them more difficult.

If I have further questions, to whom should I direct them? Please send an e-mail to "thepresidentsheads@gmail.com" with any additonal questions. Please allow 1-2 days for a response.
